Course Details B.C.A.
- Bachelor of Computer Applications is a 6 semesters (3 years) Graduation
Course designed and implemented by the affiliated University.
- The course is upgraded from time to time to accommodate latest concepts and
technology.
- As it is a computer literacy curriculum, it contains the Practical component
with equal weightage to the theory portion.
- It is designed to cater the modern and latest computer oriented application
development.
- Contains the subject of Project Development in last 2 semesters to provide
practical training to students.
CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION
A candidate who has passed twelfth examination or equivalent examination
from Gujarat Higher Secondary Board or any other Board (Uni. Circular No.
b.f./ / 560/2006, date : Oct 10, 2006) including Group A, B, or AB of Science
stream. (Uni. Circular No. b.f./ / 201/2006, date : July 4, 2006)
To get admission directly into sem – III.
(Uni. Circular No. b.f./ / 419/2006, date : Aug 14, 2006)
- The candidate must have passed 12th Standard.in Science stream.
- They should have obtained Diploma either in Computer Engineering or Information Technology
Candidates from Other Universities Or Boards
- They must be eligible for the admission to the particular course.
- To get admission into college, first they have to obtain Provisional
Eligibility Certificate from the BKNMU/Saurashtra University. College
will not issue the Admission form to the candidate coming from other
University/Board, who doesn’t have Provisional Eligibility Certificate.
- Thereafter, they can get admission in the College, by submitting the
Provisional Eligibility Certificate.
- Then, they have to obtain Migration Certificate from their original
University or Board.
- Based on Migration Certificate, they have to obtain Final Eligibility
Certificate from the BKNMU/Saurashtra University
- They have to submit the copy of this Final Eligibility Certificate to the
College before the process of form filling for Final Annual Examination
begins.
NOTE:
- The students coming from other University/Board are not required to
be enrolled with the University, because their Enrolment is done by
the University on behalf of the college when the candidate obtains
his/her Final Eligibility Certificate.
- Candidates from other University/Board should be given admission
only in the First term of Curricular. He is not eligible for admission, if he
applies for the same in the Second term.
Candidate Who Is The Only Child And Is Female (University Circular NO
affiliation/2/818/2007, date: May 30, 2007)
In case of the candidate who is the only child of parent and is necessarily
a
female, then,
- She should be given a preference to other candidates for admission or
- She should be given admission on the reserved seat or
- She should be given admission on the additional seat, already
approved by the University
